Your Neighborhood Sonoma Italian Restaurant & Bar

Risibisi (rice and peas) is a classic Venetian dish which was traditionally offered to the Duke of Venice (“Doge”) on April 25, in celebration of Saint Mark’s Day, the patron Saint of Venice.

Marco Palmieri opened Risibisi in downtown Petaluma in 2006. A native of Trieste, Italy on the Adriatic Sea, Marco was determined Risibisi would not be just another Italian restaurant. Risibisi is the epitome of Italian hospitality. From the moment you arrive, you’ll discover what makes it so special – an atmosphere where guests are always treated like family.

Sonoma Italian Cuisine, Supporting Local Farms. A warm hello is only the first of several reasons you’ll feel at home at Risibisi.

Our goal here at Risibisi is to try and get as close to the Petaluma community and all of the local farms as possible. The “Slow Food” movement is thriving in Sonoma County and Petaluma is at the center of it all. “Slow Food” is the idea that a community can support each other by eating, drinking, growing, and cooking locally. Petaluma has some of the best farms in the country, and as part of that community, we consider it our responsibility to bring all the amazing products from our local farms to your plate. There is an ever changing list of products and the local farms that we get them from. We encourage you to come join us and celebrate the bounty of our local Sonoma farms.

Risibisi is proud to be affiliated with F.E.E.D Sonoma
